Getting familiar with keyboard shortcuts not only help you get the work done faster, but also more efficient.So, Here I am going to post some useful keyboard shortcuts working for Windows 7 & 8 operating systems.
Keyboard shortcuts for windows 7 and 8
1. Win+1, 2, 3 etc.
It will launch each program from taskbar. It is helpful to keep your most used programs at the beginning of your task bar so you can open them one right after another.This also works for windows vista operating system.
2. Win+Alt+1, 2, 3 etc.
It will open the jump list for each program from the taskbar. You can then use your arrows to select which jump list option you want to open.
3. Win+T
It will cycle through taskbar programs. This is similar to just hovering over the item with your mouse but you can launch the program with Space or Enter.Very useful when mouse is actually not working !
4. Win+Home
It minimizes all programs except current the window.
5. Win+B+Enter
It selects the system tray can be useful when mouse stopped working.
6. Win+Up/Down
It maximizes and restores down the current window so long as that window has the option to be maximized.
7. Alt+Esc
It's like Alt+Tab but switches windows in the order they were opened and does not have the fancy window preview overlay.
8. Win+Pause/Break
It will open your system properties window. Helpful to get OS,Hardware information.
9. Ctrl+Esc
It can be used to open the start menu but will not work as a Windows key replacement for other shortcuts.
10. Ctrl+Shift+Esc
It will open the task manager without needing to hit Ctrl+Alt+Del first.
11. Alt+Space
It will open the window system menu which can be used to maximize (x), minimize (n), close (c), or move (m) the window which can be especially helpful if your window is somehow off-screen.
12. Win+Tab (Not Working On Windows 8)
It shows opened windows with nice graphical user interface.You can switch between windows by pressing tab without releasing Win key!
